Movie Poster Cast Away

The poster for cast away, shows the raw emotion of the character. It uses a filter on the image to make it seem more dramatic, and add some "wear and tear" to the character. The phrase present " at the end of the world, his journey begins, explains how he will endure some existential struggle.

This poster actually features an important scene from the movie. It uses quite a bit of negative space to draw focus exclusively to the character. The scene the shot is pulled from is where the story is being told in relation to the "present day" forest gump. The distraught look on his face also eludes to how the characters personality is.

Movie Poster : Gasland

this movie poster uses a handful of different strategies. It uses elements of symmetry and focus. The man is the center focal point of the poster. His left and right appear similarly. While in the background, is a slightly out of focus mountains. Perhaps it shows the man is the primary focus of the movie, with his impact on the environment being a focal point as well.

HW 2: Balance

This photo demonstrates how balance can be used to show an items size. The angles used in the image show how the bridge is very long. The right side of the image is dominated by the bridge more so than the left. Which shows that the photo was taken closer to the right then the left. This relationship makes parts of the bridge seem distant.

HW 2: Scale

Here is a photo that showcases scale. It features two of the same animal, each at a much different size. In this case the contrast in size demonstrates maturity and growth.
